About Waupaca Voice
Waupaca Voice Community Pilot
We are beginning with one local concern: residents have reported their garbage and recycling bins—sometimes called carts—being damaged during or immediately following collection. Affected residents can document their experiences, while other residents can support a community request asking the City to investigate and respond. This pilot will help establish a careful, respectful process that may later be used for other Waupaca community concerns.
Waupaca Voice is an independent, nonpartisan community platform created to help residents document local concerns, measure community support and communicate organized requests to the appropriate public officials.
Residents can report community issues, provide supporting information, support petitions and follow the progress of issues that matter to them. When an issue receives meaningful community participation, Waupaca Voice may prepare a summary of verified reports, petition support and relevant evidence for presentation to the City of Waupaca, Waupaca County or another appropriate organization.
Our purpose is not to attack public employees, private businesses or elected officials. It is to replace scattered social-media complaints with organized, respectful and useful community information.
How it works
- A resident submits a concern or suggests a petition.
- The resident verifies their email address.
- The submission is reviewed for relevance, privacy, respectful language and compliance with our community standards.
- Approved information may be added to the public statistics for that issue.
- Other residents may support the community request.
- Waupaca Voice may deliver a documented summary to the appropriate officials when an issue demonstrates meaningful community concern.
- Public responses, actions and outcomes may be recorded on the issue page.
Independent community project
Waupaca Voice is independently operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the City of Waupaca, Waupaca County or any government agency.
Submitting information through this website does not constitute officially notifying the City, County, police, emergency services or any other government agency. Urgent matters and requests requiring an official response should be submitted directly to the responsible agency.
What petitions mean
Petitions hosted on Waupaca Voice are community petitions intended to document public support and communicate a request. They are not elections, official government votes or statutory petitions unless a petition is expressly identified as such after legal and governmental review.
Signing a community petition does not force the City, County, a contractor or any other organization to take the requested action. Final authority generally remains with elected officials, government agencies, voters in a legally authorized referendum or another body authorized by law.
The constitutional right to petition protects the public’s ability to organize and ask government for action, but it does not guarantee that the request will be granted. Waupaca Voice exists to ensure that community concerns can be documented, counted, respectfully presented and followed over time. Read our full legal status.
Nonpartisan
The platform does not endorse candidates or political parties. Issues are selected based on whether they affect residents’ shared use of community services and infrastructure — not political alignment.
